Hello Professionals, Good morning, We are circuit card manufacturer for the Aerospace industry with low volume and High mix level. We have a plan to Purchase a NEW REFLOW OVEN. Currently we are using Electrovert BRAVO reflow oven which is about 8 years or more . we want to get better reflow oven to meet our requirements and it should be maintenance free. We have got ( Vitronics-soltec, Heller industries, BTU, Speedline Omnimax7 ). What would be the best choice that you recommend us.?

Thank you, Asif

BTU is the "Cadillac" of the ovens. I worked with all of the brands you mentioned. If you can afford it, don't even think about it.

Rehm Thermal VX Series is the VW, Audi and BMW of reflow....Has features that enable best in industry process, lowest power and best N2 consumption should you run N2.

Price is not cheapest on market but ROI has to be looked at in all areas not just up front costes.

Hello Evtimov, Thank you for your reply. I have received the quote for the BTU Pyramax. How about the preventive maintenance compared with other ovens in the market..?

You have to keep the oil containers for the chains loaded with oil. The procedure is automatic and you will run it based on your usage. Other than that our 10zone Pyramax is running for 5years without any failure.

Hello. I used Heller before - very stable oven, I had zero problems. Maintenance is also very easy. I also think they are not so expensive. You have to look at the power consumption and N2 if you are going to use it. Some ovens can trick you with low prizes but huge consumption. I have been using SMT for a several months now, I also was present during installation, but I am not sure it deserves the good feedback it gets for its huge prize... Also we had a few small problems after installation.
