MPM Accuflex, Lost Vision

The camera assembly is designated as X23; the stencil & board lighting as well as the camera video signal pass through the DB9 connector at the camera. There is a ribbon cable in the vision gantry tray that carries both to the box on the left side of the vision gantry. Inside the box is the X65 distribution card. The camera itself receives power from this card; the lighting finds it's path for common here. Lighting and video both travel back to the X60 card (left upper rear of machine) but on separate cables or paths. The lighting continues to the X8 card or "power back plane" on the lower half of the back of the "crate" and is controlled by the X4 or "Align" card. The video signal (your issue) travels from the X60 to the X68 (below the wiper solvent catch tray) and then via a small black signal cable to the back of the computer. Before we go further I just want to make sure you played with all the contrast setting for lighting in the screen for teaching fiducials? Here are a few quick tips that may resolve your issue quickly: Most likely there is a bad connection, "TURN OFF THE MACHINE" and check to following, not necessarily in this order 1) DB9 connection at the camera 2) Remove camera cover (2 screws) and very carefully press on the connection at the camera wafer board 3) X65 unclip and then press in all connectors, the same at the X60 and X68 cards. All of these cards are signal and power distribution 4) Check the video cable at the back of the computer, there are 2 ports on the vision card, make sure you plug it back into the right port or no video! all check for damage along this cable 5) Open the computer and careful unseat the vision processor card (the one the cable goes to) and reseat it. Turn on the machine and try again. If it seems there is a bad part that is causing the issue it is usually the ribbon cable between the camera and the X65, however it could be a faulty camera or processor card also. The connections are important, check them very well first.
