Hi!

i have probems with this asus eee 1001px computer, it wont charge anymore, and i have located a burned diode. I have tried to see what kind it is, but i cant figure it out, i have used a usb microscope to take a photo of it.

could you please help me with this?

can i buy the diode on ebay?

how do i attach a photo? its impossible.

of what i can read out of the diode it says: PJ9466 or PJ0466

If you are lucky even a simple device has something resembling the part number written on it (doesn't look promising). If you are not what you will probably find whatever is printed on it is little more than a batch number. If you are even luckier you might just about find someone else who recognizes your string of numbers and reads this forum and can be bothered to impart this information to you. However that is really rather unlikely, you think you know its a diode, you might be able to ascertain the function of the section of the circuit it is in and diodes are pretty generic, just try another one that fits. However you says its burnt out, which means it carried too much current for whatever reason so there is a good chance whatever it is protecting is dead too. AND your eepc is essentially worthless - go on ebay and buy another.

Are yu sure this is not a power FET.

Is this inside the Laptop or in the Power adaptor

thank you for all the answers, i think that i use the computer as a paperweight for a while, i payed 12 usd for it , so its not so important, but i apreciate your help.
