Yamaha YV100 - Manual tray setup

I am trying to set up a YV100ii machine to pick up TQFP's from a manual tray.

No matter what i do, it doe snot want to pick up the parts from the tray, but it keeps wanting to try to pick up parts from the place that a feeder would present the part..

I've set my Pos. Defination: Teaching and then used the camera to find the first IC on the tray..

Any clues as to what i'm doing wrong.
