Hi, I must change our current terrible foam fluxer unit used in Seho wave to a spray type to let able to use water soluble flux. Does anybody have recommendation for solution that won't break the bank?

Water soluble fluxes can be highly corrosive. Make sure that your new spray fluxer can handle your flux type.

We installed a SonoFlux ultrasonic spray fluxer, replacing the foam fluxer in our Electrovert Econopak wave in 2014. The cost at that time was 16K, installation included. We ran water based flux through it and as long as we kept it clean, worked well. We have since retired it and the wave.

SonFlux EZ is not suitable for water SOLUBLE flux. SonoFlux Servo can be equipped with parts that whitstand corrosive water soluble fluxes. SonoFlux Servo was about 19k€ in 2011 (including installation).

What formula of flux are you foaming with? I am looking for a new flux to try. We are still foaming in both our machines.

Hi, We are currently using Alfa EF-2210, that is a good water based flux for spraying, but can't be used with foam fluxer (it is pain to use with foaming - builds extensive foam)

yes but you were using a flux foamer. What flux did you use then?

Bought spray fluxer unit extension to our machine ;)

AFAIK water based fluxes are not available for foam, and we didn't wanted to move toward the alcohol based ones because of theirs multiple drawbacks

So you were never using the foamer in the machine?

Yes we used it with EF-2210, but it is a pain... not really recommended... Do you want to use water based?

I think it is better to forget foam fluxer in this case
