Can any body suggest what is the reason behind SRT machine stepper motor malfunctioning as we are using VJ electronics Summitt 750 model having Sanyo Denki stepper motor. Stepper Motor fails sometime during picking up component or during placement nozzles retracting.

Some more info on the failure might be helpful... Experience with those motors is pretty positive, but they do weaken with age and start stalling.

Dear Sir, Sanyo Denki Bi-Polar motor rarely rotates with actual speed while Picking up the component, Otherwise Stepper motor rotates with very slow moving speed by creating noise and same speed variation repeats while Placing the component. After completion of one rework cycle heat generating nozzle not retracting to the Home position & also it is hitting the same reworked component ( component getting disturbed in heat condition ); We tried to replace with equal Uni-Polar motors but the result was same. Need your suggestion.

is that the only motor with that function or there are others? if you have more than one motor try switching cables and/or drivers and see what happens. this kind of behavior can also be caused by stepper driver.

If you swapped in a different motor and had identical result then it isn't the motor. Suggest looking at driver or controller.
