We would like to know some user reviews about software from Unisoft like ProntoPLACE, ProntoGerber Connection, ProntoVIEW MARKUP etc.

What we want to know is how easy does it works even when you work with other part numbers that are listed in a BOM delivered by customers.

We are a assembly-house and work with our own part numbers. How easy is it to translate customers part numbers to our part numbers.

And we want to know the overall usage of this software.

Can layouts from documents and labels easily being changed to a desired layout.

Sticker sizes can that be changed easily.

All further information is also wanted.

Thank you for your reply.

With best regards, Anton

Following this. We are a contract house and I am looking for something to translate customer P/N to internal P/N with macro or translator. Also, looking for something to create new P/N if they do not exist. Currently, we open the customer excel sheet and copy MFG P/N and search if we find than we copy our number to a sheet and if not new P/N created.

Hi Mark, we use BOM Connector from Router Solutions. It took a while so set up, but works well in linking our part numbers to customer part numbers, and looking up part numbers on new BOMs. We also import the BOM Connector BOMs into our ERP, but that was via a separate link we created.

Would also be interested to hear actual opinions on Prontoplace and Markup from users.

Thanks, Rob.

I don't use it, but I have downloaded the trials before. Personally on each occasion I found the interface to be incredibly clunky & retro. I also quickly discovered that error handling was perhaps a touch wanting, put one foot wrong or perhaps try to import a file it doesn't like and the software crashes. That said the functionality seemed to be quite good but I think it needs a little modern TLC to improve stability and user interaction, some of the interface I found downright weird. I should point I also consider Graphicode to also be horrid from an interface standpoint. By contrast I mostly quite like the interface in Numerical Innovations if only they extended their functionality with BOMs some more to ocver your wishes.
