Urethane Coating - Universal Remover/Cleaner | 14 August, 2018

I'm looking for a strong, universal urethane coating remover/cleaner. It'll be used for cleaning equipment, mostly metal pieces, so I'm not worried about material compatibles.

Just looking for the strongest, universal urethane conformal coat remover/cleaner (if such a thing exists).

Thanks in advance for any help! -Phil

I know Kyzen and Zestron both have solutions for cleaning urethane. Are you cleaning it with your washer?

What does you urethane coating material supplier say?

Urethane coating remover try:

* Humiseal 1080 or 1100

* Dynaloy Dynasolve 190 or Uresolve 411

Techspray and Microcare make urethane coating removal products

Urethane coating breaks down approximately at 250*F so rapid decomposition occurs if you use a 700*F tip. Obviously, you need to work quickly. Try a chisel shaped Metcal tip at 630-659*F to clear your rework areas.

Toluol (toluene). I use it in the solvent cups in my PVA machines to keep the nozzles wetted. We also use it to clean spots where coating is not supposed to be. Techspray 2510-N coating remover pen will also work very well for this.

Uresolve is the solvent I've used in the past but couldn't remember.

Thanks!
