We have an EKRA E-1 screen printer that operate with no problems for several months, then all of a sudden it will spend hours or days on the "referencing in progress" message. It's currently been stuck on this message for about 30 hours. Any ideas what could be wrong?

When our older Ekra machines wont reference.....we will either try to e-stop it and then turn the control back on and reference it again....or turn the machine off and back on.

I would check all the sensors on the machine and also try to reposition the print head and/or camera to see if that helps.

good luck.

Thanks for your suggestion, bobpan.

We did try that, and also try to trip the cover and flap interlocks, and various combinations/sequences of both. Doesn't want to work.

I think it has something to do with the communication between the 2 computers. Plug a monitor into the back computer rack and see if there is an error showing when its trying to boot up. Its been a long time....so dont quote me....ha

Thanks Bob, Only one PC but good idea to isolate it from the machine, the PC seems primarily for Vision but maybe not. Best case it's the classic Operator Error. I'll let you know when I resolve it.

Sorry .....thought E1 was same as E4 and E5. Looks like they have different systems.

Good luck.
