Looking for low cost First Article workstation for PCBAs ?

The environment is low Volume High Mix PCBA production

There is a constant need to do firs article in all three shifts (24 hours)

Currently it is not automated, it is time consuming and open for human error

Automation and low cost is an oxymoron sort of like jumbo shrimp. Automation will set you back $20,000-100,000. Optical comparitors aren't cheap either. Low cost means good eyeballs, a "golden" sample board and up-to-date documentation. Also low cost and helpful are templates exposing and identifying the components to be inspected. Could be metal from your stencil supplier or the new anti-stat translucent plastic meterial from KJ. John Thorup
