Desktop AOI machine | 27 August, 2019

Hello, I am looking for a new desktop AOI machine which is able to verify a 1st off/master board. This means capture the image of the 1st board and add the placement list file to it, then use the software to check each part to its location on the board.

A budget solution would be https://www.compuphase.com/visualplace/visualplace_en.htm where you could combine a camera, the free software and board data to step through each location and inspect it manually

It's really a tool to aid manual assembly, I'm just suggesting you could abuse it to help an operator step through the locations in a guided fashion.

First Article Inspection system is recommended. We use FAI , SPI and off-line AOI. FAI is very important for middle to high volume PCB assembly.
