We use "Uline N95 Deluxe Industrial Respirator" face masks. We are looking for something better. Our conformal coating machine has an active exhaust pulling fumes out and the door is closed when the machine is running. We have a fume hood with an active draw and a fan blowing fresh air at the operator for manual application of conformal coating.

I set the machine up and programmed it. I would like to turn it over to someone else but first I want to make sure we have good PPE for the new guy.

What do other people use in regards to breathing protection in conformal coating areas?

We have draft/vent booths for our folks, we had a local company here make them for us with Black lights built in. they work nicely there is a constant draw. We also had the same company build drying cabinets, they have constant draw/ventilation on them as well not heated at all just exhausted. between these two it keeps the room free of fumes. We do give all the operators PPE's though, we use the same type they use when painting cars.
