We are currently using Mirtec M3L inspection systems. Although they have served us well, we are looking for an upgrade. We are going in line and maybe getting away from camera based to algorithm based which I have been told are much more accurate. The # of false calls we get is unacceptable to our SLT. The money is there, just looking for any input from what others are using. Thanks in advance for your response.

Hello, we are on same boat. Our company looking for AOI system too. We also have Mirtec MV3-L. We are fine with it but we want in-line aoi because of automatisation. And primary in aoi specification we are looking for much more automatic learning from the start. But questions is from my side...is there any good AOI with good SW and easy to use right now? Can anyone recommend any good brand?

I'd get Mirtec in first and see if you can bring over any elements of your current programs to their latest platfrom & if you could be doing anyhting better on what you have.

Mirtec's are pretty tunable to reduce false calls, so it maybe that even if you change to a different manufacturer you could see some of the same issues again.
