Hello everyone,

I would love to learn about your thought processes when initially choosing chemistry to be approved in your production lines? What were the pros and cons? Are you still satisfied with your decision? Would you choose a different chemistry?

This And do not underestimate the importance of support.

The product has to work. Forget the jargon and details. Does the product do what it says? If it doesn't work well is there someone to explain why? Maybe it needs a higher temperature.

And cost is always important.

Honestly it boils down to which product will minimise complaints. Whether from front line workers complaining about the smell or something else, or QC or customers or management. Can we buy it and forget about it, or will we keep hearing about it?

And as for choosing we ask sales reps what they have and ask for a sample. And there are sales reps that get followed from one company to another. Good sales reps generate more loyalty than brands. (on average)

I don't really want to be a jerk here, but I'm pretty sure that the OP wanted something like "we use Zestron over Kyzen because x." Not just some jargon about things to look for, but actually why is Zestron better than Kyzen, or vice versa.

OP, we don't do a lot of cleaning, but we are starting to sample Zestron's HYDRON 220. Reason being, it seems to be one of the latest and greatest for ultrasonic cleaners, and it's not overly hazardous for operators. Since we use open air ultrasonic cleaners, we can't use nasty solvents. We'll see how well it works, and I'll post an update!

Both companies are good. I had no red flag experiences with either.

Tell your OP that it pays to do your due diligence on your specific product and equipment. You may have variables that differ from others.

Very cool to hear your thoughts! Definitely will have to post in here once you get enough experience with that HYDRON 220.

I would love to hear more of your opinions. Honestly, we are a competitor to them and we want to make sure our products are the best of the best and being able to talk to all of you is extremely insightful and beneficial to try and accomplish that goal!

For that, I thank all of you and really appreciate your time.

I can't emphasise enough. Get good reps.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that starts a search for a new product by asking a few trusted reps what they recommend. The product has to be good but the reps are the first place we start.

And be prepared for success. One product a customer had us use was from a small company in Reno. When I needed an updated SDS I was first told that they didn't update them every three years because they only followed US regulations. A little later I got a reply from a marketing person that they were going to start issuing updates every three years because they were selling much more internationally than they expected.
