Next security issue at SMTnet?

After I pointed out at the end of November 2018 that here at SMTnet passwords are stored in plain text (https://smtnet.com/Forums/index.cfm?fuseaction=view_thread&CFApp=1&Thread_ID=21588&FromArchive=yes), and they still are, this site was now apparently hacked and I got an blackmail letter from a SMTnet eMailadesse. Is of course bullshit, but maybe as a question if this is real and smtnet has a problem here?
