I'm using 15E with tpsys software 3.1.2 and the machine is not using the hydra tools, hydra bank and tools are installed, package and components has the hydra tools, but is only using single mount.

Sounds like the Hydra is disabled in settings. One of the Micronic experts will have to tell you where that is.. My last Hydra was a MY12 many years ago.

There are times where even if you have the tools on the hydra, they are assigned to the package, and the hydra is active, the machines algorithms will determine if the single mount is faster or easier depending on density of the design.

Parameters menu is where you will find hydra flag.....at least that's where it is now.... haven't been on tpsys 3.0 in over 10 years.

If that doesn't get it picking with the HYDRA, try adding a second reel and place it directly next to the existing and let the machine fetch two parts with each pick sequence.

Do you have an optical centering phase active for centering? You can have hydra tools setup in the package but if there is no optical centering it wont use the hydra.
