| i am trying to design a stencil fixture for manual printing. has anyone done this before or has an idea? thanks | There are sooo many variables; product size, 1 vs. 2 sided boards, support, component size, pitch, stencil alignment, PCB thickness, PCB regestration, changeover and all the other stuff you need to concider with the stencils/frames themselves.
I have two Elites that I do manual printing with that works wonderful and they take my MPM 29x29 stencil frames. You should check them out @ 1.800.354.8343 or 1.714.895.1911. Why reinvent the wheel.
However, I have also done my own screen etching and have printed a few SIMPLE boards with just a pattern etched in 8" x 12" stainless steel anchored by Kapton tape on the lunch table. Hey, sometimes you have to be creative.
Hope this helps, Scott
