Tables Required for 70Amp PCB's | 15 April, 1999

Can anyone suggest or identifiy standards which tabulate the following:

Conductor width, cross sectional and area conductor thickness for PCB's carrying up to 70 Amps?

1 Printed Circuits Handbook (Clyde F. Coombs) 2 Microelectronics Packaging Handbook (Tummala, Rymaszewski) 3 IPC-D-275 (now 2222, I think), figure 3-4 on page 10

Concerns I have are:

1 If using vias, how should they be designed, given that plated thickness is usually thinner and tougher to control. Earl where are you? 2 Etching 2oz copper a half inch wide (or whatever) doesn't seem to be a problem, but getting the current on and off the board seems more difficult.

Good luck
