| | | HI! I am a package engineer in Korea. I have some reasons | | | to desolder excessive solder at the lead of TSOP and TSOJ | | | after removing them from the board. The way with solder wick is too time-consuming and depends on the operator. | | | Does anyone know the equipment or method to do that automatically? | | | Thanks... | | | | | Hi: Why don't you use a desoldering station? Pace, Hakko, OK, and a bunch of others make these tools that either run with shop air or generate air. TTYL Dave F | | | Hi: What I mean by desoldering of TSOP and TSOJ is removing the | excessive solder on TSOP and TSOJ themselves after removing them from the board. Removing them from the board is possible with hot gas. | The reason to remove the excessive solder and get uniform solder thickness of TSOP and TSOJ is for reuseing them... | Thanks... Hi: That's what I thought you wanted to do.
The machine that I'm talking about is a solder "sucker." It has:
1 A heated tip that melts the solder 2 A "vacuum" that draws the melted solder through a hollow tube in heated the tip 3 A chamber behind the tip with a filter collects solder residue
