SMTnet Web Email... what do you think? | 7 October, 1998

We are considering a new free service here at smtnet, Web Email. This would allow users to keep their personal email address's private, while we make users use the smtnet address when there are required email fields in forms. When a user registers on this site, he/she will get an email address automatically.

There is a low cost solution to setting up emails for everyone, but it doesn't allow users to name their own email addresses. Instead it will be a 5 digit numerical address, like 00015@smtnet.com .

Would you consider it acceptable to have a numerical address?

Any feedback on the issue would be greatly appreciated. Cliff

It allows those people to get their postings up and if they are serious about it they will use the number system.I think it will help. Jeff Sanchez
