| Is a machine available to straighten QFP legs | Where? | How much? | Anygood? Ben, Texas Instruments makes a way cool machine for straightening bent QPF leads. It's totally automatic. It'll pick'em out of waffle trays, do a vision inspect for, "tag" bent leads, then go back & straighten them out. It also fixes bad coplanarity. Then it indexes to the next side, and so on. It does a final inspect and places good, repaired parts in one waffle tray and bad, unrepairable parts in another. I don't recall what it costs, but I know it's big buck$. I saw another lead straigthening machine the other day in the Rapid Response mailer (yes, I occaisionally read those on my way from the mailbox to the recycling bin). It was semi-automatic, and not as cool, but much less expensive. Only problem is I can't recall the manufacturer, and my recyling bin has since been emptied. Maybe someone else in the forum isn't as quick to recycle and can post the name. There's always really patient ladies with long fingernails... Good Luck.
