CIMBridge versus Unicam

CIMBridge versus Unicam | 3 August, 1998

I and I imagine most of you, are embroiled in the turf war going on between CIMBridge and Unicam. Since Fuji is squarely in the center of this issue I would imagine that many of you are wondering which way to lean. I'm wondering if we are not going to have to maintain both systems. Opinions?

Dew: Is this the third or forth software alignment for Fuji? Hope they stick with Unicam for a period of time... Just my two cents....

I believe it's the forth, MCS OS/9, MCXE,F4G, and now fujicam...were there any others I missed? Personally I like the route that fuji has taken with unicam, At least we're one step closer to having the best of all worlds, with ease of use. -Ben

They have been light years ahead on all sorts of software issues. Unicam, which puports to support every machine under the sun, even admits they can't optimize a Panasert as well as PanaPRO can. I wonder how well they will do with Fuji?

It has improved over the years, but if Fuji thought it was good enough I don't think they would have aligned with Unicam.
