Does anyone out there know of anyone renting equipment to record video of reflow actions? I am looking for a hi-temp camera to run behind boards in my ovens to record what's happening in there. We have some crazy stuff going on with some boards. Help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Contact Quad Systems in Willow Grove, PA - 215.657.6202 and ask about their "AIR" technology option for their reflow ovens. | Does anyone out there know of anyone renting equipment to record video of reflow actions? We have some crazy stuff going on with some boards. Help will be appreciated. Thanks. Before I got into the technology industry, I was into Broadcasting and production work. There are hundreds of cameras that are small enough to run through the oven, however, you'll run into a problem, HEAT...they do make some extremely Hi-temp vid cams but I just don't think that it's worth the price. Some of the other industrial style cams placed inside a thermal sock should handle the heat OK. Cables are another problem, you'll have to find some with High temp insulation otherwise you'll track goo all through you're oven and it will smell awful. If you don't want to take the time and the money to try this out yourself(possibility of trashing a few cameras), contact one of your local production companies, bring them on site and show them what you want to do, they'd be able to tell you if it is possible or not, and hey, if a camera or two get ruined. it doesn't come out of your budget. -Ben
