| What is the smallest a company can be to be ISO ? | Is the cost less for a smaller company ? | What is the smallest I have been, among many other terrific things, an ISO consultant since 1987 (when ISO first came to our shores). During this time I have helped many small and large companies become ISO registered. The smallest was 11 people and they're doing fine now. Small companies, say under 10 people, have difficulty because of who is responsible for what. Who is management, who is the management representative, who are the auditors, who does this and that? It can be tough, but not impossible for very small companies to becom registered. It also is very advantageous for anyone to do so provided all requirements can be met and improved. Concerning cost - it is a function of who you choose as a registrar/auditor. It costs more for large companies because there is more to audit. It costs less for small companies because there is less. Therefore, less time is spent by expensive auditors. If you need more information, contact me at 734-654-0981 or the included email address. Earl Moon
