Qualifying Contract Manufacturer Services | 3 October, 2000

Hi,

Need some extra inputs on what to look into (criteria etc) regarding Contract Manufacturing our Products aside from Cost, Quality, Turn-around Time Parts Wastage rate. What are orther items I need in my checklist to qualify a contract manufacturer...mainly SMT process only since we will still do the assembly. Down Under, CM Companies normally says $bucks per hour.

IPC-1720 Assembly Qualification Profile

Developed by the OEM council of the IPC, IPC-1720 categorized an electronic assembly manufacturer's capabilities and supplies the OEM customer with detailed, substantive information.
