The actual water soluble process is killing us. We sent the cloose loop tanks for regenaration each two weeks. We spent too much money sending the tank overseas. Is there a company in PR that recycles this tanks. Maybe in Florida? What is the lowest impedance used in this kind of process? Is there other alternative for this kind of process (recycling tanks)?

Resistivity [1/ohm] readings are determined by the "cleanliness" that you desire to ensure the proper performance of your product.

Check the fine SMTnet Archives for background.

Contact USFilter [ http://www.usfilter.com/ ] for help.

Been rootin' through my card file. Other sources I'm aware of, but can not substantially comment on are: * DI water generators: Unit design 714.282.8100 fax8188 * Remco Engineering: modular ion exchange systems * Advanced Separation Technologies: continuous ion exchange systems * Mixed bed packaged industrial deionizers: Culligan, USFilter, Ionpure * Hydromatix: regeneration process for rejuvenating ion exchange resins in rinse water recycling

Eliud,

You will most likely not find a local Culligan / US Filter office willing to provide regeneration services. The most cost effective method is to use DI tanks that are user refillable in the field. With user refillable tanks, you need only empty and refill the media (carbon and resin). The spent carbon is of no value and should be disposed of locally. The spent resin is valuable and can be shipped to a regeneration center for regeneration. By using refillable tanks, the only item being transported is the media itself (as opposed to heavy tanks filled with water and resin).

Check with the following companies:
