I own and have read this book. While it is better than the average soldering book, it is not the first book that I reach for in trying to sort through a problem. It introduces a broad range of soldering methods with a reasonable amount of detail, but uses confusing jargon and includes a couple poorly thought-out tables.

If the building was on fire, on the way out the door I'd grab: * My wife's picture * Wassink "Soldering In Eletronics" 2e Electrochemical Publications 1989 ISBN 090115024X * Coombs "Printed Circuits Handbook" 5e McGraw-Hill 2001 ISBN 0071350160
