Our SMTproduction has next troubles : 1. irregular 0603-components in tapes (different solder shapes) makes vision errors on placement devices 2. big solder amounts makes pickup and placing errors 3. some tapes delivery delays , so production halts frequntly. 4. short tapes (4k-10k comp-s a tape) with relat. big volumes of prod. , so end of tape every half an hour. We would like to open own production of capacitors and try to found any info about that who can show equipment and corelation between stages of the production

Troubles, troubles, troubles. If it werent for bad luck, I wouldn't no luck at all, eh? Tough business.

Comments on your trouble are: * On machine vision errors from less than ideal capacitors: This is life. Reprogram your machine to either widen the package size tolerance or place on the center [centroid] of the device. * Excess solder on terminations: This is life. Reprogram your machine to either widen the package size tolerance or place on the center [centroid] of the device. * Poor delivery performance: Get your boss to make the buyer do his / her job. Buyers should be tracking orders, confirming and reconfirming delivery dates, and replacing suppliers that do not perform according to promises. * Partial reels: Get your boss to make the buyer do his / her job. If production requires full reels, (1) they should get what they need and (2) it should be cheaper for the buyer to buy the reels that way, rather than partial reels. Consider splicing reels.
