0603 tape cavity size | 25 August, 2000

Hi all,

Does anybody meet large size of tape cavity in 0603 components? It is a serious problem in some vendors that their tape tolerance is very large. It lead to our fallout rate abnormal high. What is standard tape cavity size? Why the component manufacturers set so large tolerance?

Mr. Wilson,

Have you considered bulk feeders, some issues with it but it but lees than a 3% loss on 100 placements. Component availability is one thing, getting them in the correct media is another.
