Hi to everybody.

I have some questions. I have a component whit the next description: res. fmf .100 3010 1 S physically, the component have wrote: 22R1. My questions are: what it means? is it a presition resistance? what is the value?

Thanks a lot.

Typically 1% resistors indicate the decimal position with an "R" 22R1 most likely means 22.1 ohm. Again the best answer is to go to the manufacturer's website to learn how to properly identify the particular component. The ones that really confuse me are the ones that use letters with no numbers at all. "a" or "c" resistors, these require a little help from the vendor on occation.

Guessing at the meaning of your description of res., fmf, .100, 3010, 1, S: * res - Resistor * fmf mf tells you metal film fmf tells you flame metal film type * .100 - Precision tolerance 0.1%, although it could be power rating. * 3010 301 ohm * 1 Power??? 1 watt, maybe * S - Failure rate %/1000 hours??? S = 0.001%

On you component marking of 22R1: * Value? As an earlier poster stated, the value is 22.1 ohm. * Precision resistance? Cant tell, probably

The thing we are most comfortable stating is: Your part description does not represent your part.

Confirming this with your supplier would be good. Alternately, the following could help: * Dale Electronics, 1122 23rd Street P.O. Box 609, Columbus, NE 68601-3632, (402) 563-6449 * International Resistive Co. Inc. (IRC), 4222 S. Staples, Corpus Christi, TX 78411-2702, (512) 992-7900
