I have 2 rechargable digital camera batteries. One came with it and one was bought some time later. Is there a way to test them to see which has the least wear? I want to find out which is closer to it's demise and which has the most charges left in it

You need to measure the voltage across a resistor that is connected between the terminals of your battery.
