Can anyone help me with this? What kind of price should I be looking to pay for a used DEK265 machine? Year around 98'?

Well , firstly It depends on the country in which you live as I can only advise in the UK.

But if you live in the US try a search for DEK265 and read te companies that come up and make sure they included installation and servicing as DEK sometimes washes there hands with it, unless you have paid them to support you with telephone or parts ad labour support.

2nd user equipment is out there, prime source is company auctions when they close an electronics factory, these are sometimes the best price available, but you need to check the machine is complete and working totally! before you buy.

I don't personally care for a DEK screener. I have used MPM and Deks. We had Deks come into our house and repacked them about a week later and sent them back. But we are a larger house and do lots of changovers. Now on the upside if you are low volume than a DEK just might be for you. Good Luck to ya.
