Does anyone have or know where to find the light bulbs that go into the light head in the old Royonics 510 through hole placement machines?

Bulb's + has them. Just the bulb! you have to center the new one as best you can. It's been so long since I bought one can't remember the bulb watt. If you need it I can get the numbers if you can't read your bulb.

That would be great if you could get the numbers, our bulbs dont even have numbers on them. So you just use the bulb only and skip the circular aluminum housing?

They are 6 volt, 10 watt bipin halogen and not hard to get. You do need to retain the metal housing. Take the screw out of the small pc board where the pins of the bulb project and pry it off. Scrape or grind out the hard material that holds the bulb, remove and replace. If I recall correctly I used plaster of paris to hold the replacement. Remember not to touch the bulb envelope with you bare fingers as the skin oil will soon have you replacing it again. Good luck, John Thorup

Yes to what John said. Especially about finger oil on the bulb or you will replace them often enough to burn out your retina. Thought about using the plaster but never had a big problem with alignment.

I think the plaster like material is actually for heat transfer, not alignment. Thats the only reason I can think that it would be injected inside the aluminum housing and not just around the bulb. Anyways, ive found a few places that have the bulbs and will be ordering sometime very soon. What is bulbs +, is this a website? What is the URL?

Thanks for all your help guys

You can get the bulbs already mounted in the holder from RoyonicUSA (www.royonicusa.com). They are $79.00, part number 212. If you try to buy a bulb and align it in the holder, you probably won't be successful as the bulbs are factory mounted and aligned so that the optics focus right on a particular bulb filament winding.

Hey thanks a lot! I think we're getting a Contact CS-400 series however. We are being forced into cut & clinch. Thanks for the info.
