Hey all, we will be starting to coat our PCB's soon. I am looking for info on what type of UV light is needed to inspect the boards. We will be using Humiseal 1B73 Acrylic coating.

WOOD Light, if fluorescent lamp you can use TL-08 color. (Philips, Osram, Tunsgram, etc)

I am not familiar with a WOOD light. The TDS for this material says it fluoresces under UV light....

Wood or Black Light is the common way to call that UV ligth used ie. inside "disco" and used for many applications like to activate the fluorescent particels contained by conformal coating material,adhesives, paper money, etc. Any way ask for TL-08 color (it is the right wave length of UV you are looking for your job) and the Supllier will be able to provide you the correct lamp.

uV light inspection indicates the "completeness" of coverage, but provides no measurement of coating thickness.
