Looking for portable vacuum pick-up tweezers | 17 February, 2005

Good day everybody, I am looking for a number of portable vac-operated pick-up tools; to be used by operators, so they can pick QFP's/BGA's etc. out of matrix trays and also to put components back in the trays.

It should be slim, ESD-safe and powered by battery or rechargeable, without cables or tubes hanging around. Effortless replacement of different types of nozzles is preferable.

I would appreciate it if somebody can give me a suggestion where to find such a tool. Best Regards,

Some of our troop use manual tweezers. Some use 'vacuum pens' things. Vacuum pens are manually operated, vacuum powered. Suppliers of the vacuum pens things are:

* Lighter weight, lower strength ** PenVac [www.virtual-ii.com] ** Vampire ** Selecta * Heavier weight, higher power ** Vacuum Pen [Arach Technology & Application Corp http://www.arach-ta.com]

** Roto-Pic 2000A [Excelta Corp http://www.excelta.com]

** Porta-Wand and Vac-Pac [www.virtual-ii.com] ** PELCO Vacuum Pick-Up System [www.tedpella.com]
