Check the archives, there's been a (funny) thread about them. Conclusion was that nobody had much faith in it: how to discharge or prevent ESD charges without making contact?

I guess I should have stated that I Checked the archives. I also guess I should have stated in the post "has anybody tried them yet and do you have faith". I will learn how to post better.

Kick Out the Salesman from your manufacturing floor! We had that when I was with Commodore B.V. and if you use their tester it passes but if you use other ESD testers it fails.

crap!

Did they try to sell you the "wireless wriststrap router" for when you have more then 2 people in the area with wriststraps?

Wrist straps are used to bring the operator to ground potential which is the same potential as the dissipative worksurface and the electronic device which is on the bench. Everything must be at the same elctrical potential. Wireless straps will not do this and do not meet the requirements of ANSI20.20 which is considered the industry standard for eliminating ESD elated issues.
