I would put the tactile sensor back in the Vacuum nest so operators won't drop it in the paste.

Thanks pr I know what you mean, and just to let you know, you can turn the over head one off and get one for the center nest. Will be more than glad to tell you how to turn off and turn the center nest one on. And just to tell every one else, were looking for info and have no intension of trying to sell you any thing. In fact I just had to buy a teck cal sensor my self, didn't have one. Harry

Why don't you figure out a way to take the top tactile out and convert it to work in the nest....so people won't have to buy another one.

Hi Sounds like a good idea, will get back with you. We are looking for as much feed back as possible. We have about 11 years experience on MPM's and we have several areas that we already have on our list. Have thought about putting the tac-tile on the side damns or the front chuck plate. Trying to find as much info as possible. Thanks again Harry

OK...here's another one. The HiE designation began with UP-2000's I believe. And if I'm not mistaken the difference between a HiE and a non HiE was speed improvements as it related to axis movement times. If you could figure out a way to accomplish this improvement and incorporate it cheaply into non HiE machines I'm sure people would go for it.

This is one item that has had us confussed for a long time. Your right the only advantage is speed, our question has always been why buy a expensive machine if you don't need it? Have never received a good answer. What we do hear is "we seen it at the show". There is more changes than what most people thinks. The computer, software, driver cards are the biggest changes. We have about 7 major items that were looking at and speed is #2 price is #1. We feel the whole board transport system, the center nest area, unorganized wireing mess, window base software, and why do we need air on a screen printer? Thanks for the input and were requesting any more info that is on any ones mind. Thanks again Harry

Here's an easy one. Make a camera that looks up at the board a non-mirror image. You could keep the mirror image toward the stencil since stencils rarely have any legend on em.

Hi I thought that I was the only one that thought that was confussing. Have almost never had any one mention this one. When I was a field engineer for mpm, people would say something about every thing being backwards and then they would just accept it. And believe it or not there is better vision systems that the cognex 5000 on the market. Also what if the printer had no parts that a customer could not buy off of the shelf. Who wrote the rule in stone that says every one has to buy at 300-1000% mark up. And if the 1000% is unbelievable, call will give prices and vendors name. Thanks DB Harry

Ah...but if MPM didn't mark up their parts like they do then you would be still working for them as a field service guy....instead of remarketing parts and machines.

Hi No I would not... And I felt that if I was going to work on camalot, MPM's and ovens i should have been paid more money. If it wasn't for the money, I wouldn't have worked at all. When I worked for them I felt that I knew the equipment pretty good, after working on them now for 11 years, I now know that I really didn't know the equipment at all. Thanks now I feel a lot better. Using MPM UP2000 Hie printer.When give cycle wiper command,After comleting forward stroke machine gives error wiper not parked,press next to continue.If press NEXT VY axis software limit comes and machine give message press NEXT to continue.IF press next wiper stroke gets complete,but during print stroke Vision axis movement gets too slow. anybody has faced this problem?

Thanks for the input john but this falls more under a machine problem than what I'm really looking for. But here is a small lesson on MPM printers. Any time that the statement says "Park sensor not made" means that the park sensor wasn't made at the completion of that movement. Every thing on the machine that moves has a park sensor, this simply means that the sensor is not adjusted, the sensor or wiring is no good or the object moveing didn't return to the park position. What your saying is that this machine is telling you that it is really have has one problem and this problem is causing several movements to be effected. If your in the USA you might consider calling us, we will try to help. We will not try to sell you nothing. And we do make service calls, where MPM has decided to discontinue service on every thing but the Hie machines and the new models that they are selling today. harry 740-403-9406

(Hey, let's not get crazy about the Cognex system -my shop produces them).

Honestly, I won't consider buying another MPM. The current lack of support has been a bitter pill to swallow.
