Fuji IP1 help requested

Fuji IP1 help requested | 15 December, 2005

We own a Fuji IP1 with all the manuals, etc. but can't figure out how to inch the tray robot. We can inch the X, Y, Z, Q axis and the SX and SY axis. All the axis auto zero OK (including the trays), but when I push the "4" key to inch the trays we are asked for an ID code which the manual doesn't supply. The "Invalid" error message appears no matter what ID code we punch in.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Bert,

Go into your proper and input a value in the id field. If it does not have a character assigned (normally 0) then you will get the "Invalid" error. Be sure to receive the proper first before editing and sending to the machine.

This should fix your problem.

Jared,

Thank you for the help. AFter following your advice we were able to get the display to say Jog L. However, pressing the UP or DOWN arrow or pressing the "F" key and the UP or DOWN arrow didn't do anything. The trays stay put. When we request to jog the R trays instead of the L trays the system crashed and we have to turn off the IP1 and reboot.

Can you tell me what else we have to do to inch the tray unit (this is an IP1 with only one set of ten trays attached). The trays zero OK but we can't seem to inch them.

b.t.w With all the Fuji machines around I would have thought that there would be a Fuji Forum. Do you or anyone else know of one?

Regards,

Bert

Bert-

There's alot of forums dealing with SMT and Fuji in particular but you'd have to be able to read Chinese. In China... being fairly new to this there are many help forums around designed to assist folks to get up to speed as quickly as possible. Another example of while the rest of the world buries its head in the sand...........

Bert:

Try this: Set Servo Press Axis Key # 4 to prompt machine ID Hold in Axis key # 1 and input ID (typically 0 - check machine proper) Release ID key, continue to Hold #1 key Press Release #1 key Then Release You will now be able to Jog the Tray Z axis

Good luck

All works OK now.
