Q1 Are there any standard regulating the subject? Very few infos found on IPC. A1 Were unaware of standards for packing and storage for most types of boards. * IPC 4553 standard for Immersion Silver Finish, 3.8 Packing and Storage. * J-STD-033 and EIA 583 discuss barrier bags. * MIL-B-81705 classified types of bags.

Q2 Which materials are suggested to seal (Bag) the PCB? A2 JEDEC standard EIA/JEP124, Section 5.2.1 Packing Moisture-Sensitive Components specifies the proper guidelines for bag sealing.

Q3 Is it necessary the vacuum sealed bag? If yes when? A3 Companies vacuum seal bags based on their procurement, storage, materials, and production approach.

Q4 How and when is it suitable the thermal- shrink film as a packaging? A4 Dont know. Non-thermal shrink wrap is fine.

Q5 When sulfur free paper is required in between packaged PCB? A5 Sulfur free paper is required in between packaged PCB when: * Sulfur may affect the solderability protection * Solderability protection requires protection from scratching or abrasion between boards

Q6 Any sealing equipment to suggest? A6 Consider; * Van der Sthl Scientific; 2043 Outer HWY 2 SO, Wrightwood, CA 92397; 800-550-3854 http://www.vanderstahl.com FG-2000 which works well. It requires nitrogen and shop air. * AmeriVac bench-top works well and fairly cheap. Uses shop air. * Accu-Seal; 225 Bingham Dr., Suite B, San Marcos, CA 92069; 800-452-6040 Fax 760-591-9117 http://www.accu-seal.com

* Birnberg Machinery; 4828 W. Main St, Skokie, IL 60077; 847-673-5242 Fax 847-679-6600 http://www.bagsealers.com

* CVP Systems; 2518 Wisconsin Ave, Downers Grove, IL 60515; 630-852-1190 800-422-4720 Fax 630-852-1386 http://www.cvpsystems.com

* Impulse Dynamics; 1630 N. Main St., Suite 322, Walnut Creek, CA 94597; 612-932-3653 Fax 925-940-9631 http://www.impulsedynamics.com
