I was informed by a UK solder distributer that you can buy a "paint" and carry out the process yourself quite easily. I Also have spoken to Solbraze a Uk manufacturer of solder baths that can help.

Hi Ive checked into this a bit more, there are two coatings im told you can get one is a teflon coating that you paint on then bake, the other is a red oxide (lead free) paint. Also if your using solder pots and they are close grain cast iron they are ok too. Solbraze are a solder pot manufacturer in the south of England http://www.solbraze.ltd.uk/product.htm and are a font of knowladge i would recomend giving them a call. hope this is of use.
