Nicolet X-ray

I don't know anything about your machine, except that Nicolet was purchased by VJ Electronix.

I contacted VJ about another model of Nicolet X-ray machine, and Rick (978-425-9446 ext. 1251) gave me some good information. He's a former employee of Nicolet.

We sold ours a few years back - it was adequate, but nothing great. It was only top down, not one of these wonderful tilt & view at any angle machines, but it did a job for us. We never had any BGA related problems as we had very good engineers, so it was only used on first offs.

Obviously you will have to notify the appropriate people and have the relevant inspections as it is a radioactive source.

Watch out for the tube and camera. Tubes are over $20K and cameras can go over $15K. There are no reputable service suppliers for these. If you want a good refurbished machine with warranty call Rework,Inc. 760-458-0733.
