Hello SMTA,

We are looking to evolve our manufacturing processes by acquiring a Pick & Place machine. This is a technology we are currently not familiar with, and are looking for a thorough training course to attend.

Can anyone recommend a training course that would cover the operation of a Pick & Place machine, and any other pertinent aspects of the automation process? Perhaps a customizable "boot camp" style training course?

We have had extensive training in reflow profiling so ideally this could be skipped in any training course.

I know certain manufacturers offer training like Juki and Fuji. Fuji offers several days courses in Chicago. Others offer on-site training as well.

You could look at ACI Technologies I have never used them but I see their "Boot Camp" advertised.

ACI is good right next to the airport. They have actual equipment so training is more than class room.

Automation is the technology by which a process or procedure is performed with minimal human assistance.[1] Automation [2] or automatic control is the use of various control systems for operating equipment such as machinery, processes in factories, boilers and heat treating ovens, switching on telephone networks, steering and stabilization of ships, aircraft and other applications and vehicles with minimal or reduced human intervention.
