We are using kanetic conveyor 13inch size. The conveyor belt moves reverse direction when pcb comes. what could be the problem?

Here's what we've done in the past. Depending on how it's configured, conveyors can run either forward or backward, but only in one direction at a time. The voltage polarity through the starter of the drive motor configures the direction. So, swapping the wires to the the drive motor stater will reverse the conveyor, lots of times.

Good luck

Is it possible that the conveyor controller card has the capability to switch direction with something simple like a jumper shunt?

Another question: After the conveyor starts running, when you trip the sensor at the other end, does it stop running?

we don't have a jumper shunt in this conveyor. This conveyor belt running forward direction since 5 years but all of sudden change to reverse direction. Is this any software issue?

Note: Both side sensors are working fine

That's a completely different story, I was wrongly assuming that this was a new to you but "pre-owned" conveyor that wasn't set up for your process yet.

It's certainly possible that the control software allows for left to right and right to left selection but a manual should tell you that. Do you have one?

If this is a Kanetic edge belt conveyor that was manufactured by Kanetic in Lake Barrington Illinois then I've seen this before. The folks at Kanetic built a function into the PLC code to make the conveyor reversible without hardware modifications. It's been a very long time since I've seen one of these come through our shop, but from what I remember I believe you need to hold down the orange start/reset button for an extended period of time and the conveyor will run in reverse. I think you have to hold the button down for something like 5 seconds. I don't recall it needing a power cycle, but it might.

Yes it is a Kanetic edge belt conveyor that was manufactured by Kanetic in Lake Barrington Illinois. I tried holding the reset/start button and also tried to cycle the power after after holding the reset button, No Luck.Do you know if Kanetic is still in business?I like to get hold of the manual.

Kanetic did implement a feature into their PLC code that would allow for simple reversal of the board flow. This is why the conveyor suddenly reversed direction after so many years. Because the feature was invoked by holding down a button it was known to happen by accident. I knew the design team at Kanetic well as I was a customer of theirs and this feature was a selling point to large OEMs at the time due to L-R and R-L lines in the same factory. Kanetics sold to Tyco at least 15 years ago and I believe Tyco dropped the line. I will dig around and see if I can find a manual. Worse case you will need to open the PLC code to verify the proper timing/input to call the reverse sequence.

If you look in the back of the panel there should be some type of VFD drive that controls the conveyor motor.

You may be able to control rotation that way depending on the manufacturer. Should be able to google the VFD mfg and find a manual online, most are readily available.
