PCB in Panel Orientation | 23 September, 1999

Is there a standard rule/guide for the orientation of pcb's in a panel for panelised board (specially for routed panel). i often get this question from peeps here and i kept telling them that it depends on how it affects the process. thanks and regards

It looks like it just depends on the vendor.

I could be wrong!

The bummer is there are no simple rules to follow to do it well. For instance it depends on if it's going in wave or just reflow, if it's scored or routed, if its large or small ... and on and on. It also depends on your shop, its particular process and equipment.... Your process types should have some basic guidelines, but please always consult them before committing to a panel layout.
