| Dear Administrator, | | On 9/25, a forum user named Seli posted a question titled "Electronic Manufacturing on the Beach". Out of 11 responses to his posting, exactly one had anything to do with his question. The other 10 were completely off topic. | | Posters, and other users interested in a poster's question, should not have to wade through message after message of useless banter in search of an intelligent response. I think events like this do not reflect well on the intent of the forum. This is not the first time I have noticed this situation with responses to postings. | | Is it possible to keep the discussions more technical and on topic? | | Thanks. The forum is a tremendous asset to the SMT community. | | Bob | Bob,
I couldn't agree with you more even as one of the prime offenders of prime time space. No excuses, but often a little (less maybe) humor loosens up the croud and some begin participating though maybe as never before. Of course, negative responses can be forthcoming as well. I don't take yours as being that, but seek maybe a little more understanding of the motive.
