Is anyone aware of a good, basic Electronics assembly course? There is a manufacturing project leader in my company that needs to get some good exposure ... quickly. He is particularly interested in design for manufacturing.

I just invested about 15K in several training courses with the ACI-EMPF in Philadelphia. They have a 2 week course called the "Electronics Boot Camp" that is the best I have found. I will attend the next course in September (13-24th).
