Component PPM

Does any have any reports on competive Component PPM levels for world class manufacturers ?? I would also like to get any information on the fault spectrum for component mounting.

I would also like to get any information on the fault spectrum for component mounting. | | Generally, it is accepted that world class is below 100 DPMO (defects per million opportunities). This is measured for the entire mfg. process (print through final test). Check Circuits Assy. or SMT of this year (or last). They did a big spread on DPMO for a solectron site. It was very informative in measurement techniques and such. Sorry i don't remember the month...I'm on the road this week. Hope this helps... Regards, Dean
