Information on 2D and 3D automated optical inspection systems | 25 March, 1998

Work as a consultant and I have a project to research the pros and cons of automated optical inspection (aoi). Would like to get names of vendors, has any one done any Beta testing of these machines. Are they reliable? Would appreciate information on both 2D and 3D AOI systems. Regards,

Hi Paul, You may like to check out the company called RVSI (Robotics Vision System Inc). They're one of the pioneers in the visual inspection field.
