Conformal Coating Spec | 27 July, 2000

Is Mil-I-46058 still an active spec or has it been obsoleted by the Feds in favor of IPC specs? I have an internal process document that is based on IPC requirements, but a customer wants me to use their specs that are based on the mil spec. I am hoping that the mil spec is obsolete so I have ammunition to keep their spec outta here and not confuse people. Thanks.
