Good Morning Everyone,

Does anybody have any information regarding the recommended storage environment for PCB's with tin plating? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks In Advance

I don't know what's recommended but I do know that bagging with Intercept eliminates all oxidation in tin parts and platings and the need for dry packaging to boot. Email me if you'd like more information.

First, your supplier is probably the best source of storage recommendations.

Second, storage under proper conditions (2030C, < 50% RH) should yield 12 months shelf life for immersion tin. Immersion tin boards should remain in sealed packages to: * Eliminate effects of humidity on tin copper intermetallic. * Reduce requirements for board baking, because excessive bake times and temperatures could degrade the tin finish.
